Happy 4th of July! I hope that everyone had a pleasant holiday weekend. It's been a lively time in the city that never sleeps: Tall ships from multiple nations sailed up the Hudson River on July 4 under roaring jets and helicopters, someone named Taylor Swift became Mrs. Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden the night before, and one of the more ferocious weather fronts I've seen in New York swept across the city on July 3. And of course, all this against the backdrop of dramatic World Cup games and thousands of keg-draining fans doing their best to make New Yorkers forget all about the Knicks (not likely). The celebration closed out with a massive rain-threatened fireworks display launched from the rivers on both sides of lower Manhattan.

My review of some of the technology issues in Toy Story 5 will land this week; some complex and fascinating issues in the movie deserve a full airing. The highlight from last week was a deep dive into a cybertrap-rich case that's ongoing in Florida. Highly recommended reading for administrators and district officials.
