On November 4, 2022, Patrick Morgan "pleaded guilty to 2 counts of unlawful surveillance in an Albany County Court" in upstate New York. Morgan, a former 5th grade teacher, had worked at Sand Creek Middle School in Albany for 27 years.
The charges stemmed from the February 2022 discovery that someone had put a fake cell phone charger with a hidden camera in a co-ed staff bathroom. Local police conducted an investigation and arrested Morgan on February 14, 2022.
